WHEN TO SOW

March to August

Where to Sow

For baby leaves sow thinly in shallow drills 1.5cm (½") deep with 30cm (12") between rows.

What to do Next

Cut leaves from each plant leaving some leaves on each so they re-grow. If you require mature roots , thin the seedlings gradually as they grow to an eventual spacing of 10cm (4"). Do not transplant.

HARVEST

April to October

Handy Tip

For micro salads sow every 7 days all year round in trays underglass or on a windowsill and harvest as seedlings and use as a garnish. Leave a few outdoor plants to mature and eat the roots like other beetroots.
