Sow seeds on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Cover the seed with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite and place at a temperature between 15-20°C (59°F). Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 30-90 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3") pots or trays.WHAT TO DO NEXT
Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after risk of frost, 30cm (12") apart. For best results provide a rich, light well-drained soil in full sun. Plants will prove hardy if wet winter conditions are avoided.FLOWERS
